Awards - receiving industry recognition

Eversheds UK Pensions team has just been announced as winners of the "Lawyer of the Year" category in the UK Pensions Awards 2013.

The UK Pensions Awards recognise continuous and ongoing improvement. The overall aim of the awards remains the same: to recognise providers that offer the highest level of innovation, performance and service to occupational pension schemes and their members - and have done the most to improve this level of performance and service over the past year (the 12 months to October 31, 2012).

Eversheds Lina & Guia, Romania won "Firm of the Year in Romania – 2012 Award" in the Anti-Trust Law category. The accolade from Corporate INTL Global Awards, was for outstanding performance in this field of expertise.

International law firm Eversheds was chosen as the Irish Pensions Law Firm of the Year at the prestigious Irish Pensions Awards in the Burlington Hotel, Dublin on Wednesday 21 November. The awards are held annually in association with European Pensions, the Europe wide pensions magazine and website for the industry.

ASIAN-MENA COUNSEL - In-House Counsel Community Firms of the Year - August 2012

Eversheds has been voted a (joint) winner in the prestigious category of Most Responsive 'International Firm of the Year' in Hong Kong

The In-House Community is comprised of over 18,000 individual in-house lawyers and those with a responsibility for legal and compliance issues within an organisation in Asia Pacific and the Middle East. The ASIAN-MENA COUNSEL - In-House Community awards are based on the nominations and testimonials of the in-house counsel surveyed as part of the 2012 "Representing Corporate Asia & Middle East" Survey which aims to uncover the issues which affect the working relationship between in-house counsel and private practitioners.

Best Full Service Law Firm of the Year in Austria

Eversheds Austria was awarded the title "Best Full Service Law Firm of the Year 2012 in Austria" by the renowned business magazine Corporate INTL at the Corporate INTL Legal Awards 2012.

Corporate INTL is a global business publication, which is available online and print, for entrepreneurs, consultants and financial service providers. It provides the readers and website users with information from the world of commerce and finance.

Corporate INTL annually bestows awards in different business areas and branches to companies and law firms that stand out for their excellent work.

Eversheds Austria has been chosen as the winner of the 2012 Corporate INTL Magazine Global Award for the following categories:

The award was bestowed by a jury comprising representatives of international law firms and corporations as the editors of the Corporate INTL magazine. The nomination, research and judging process has taken a 12 month period, in which the range of services offered and the expertise of the shortlisted law firms was evaluated.

We have acheived top rankings for the Competition Law Firm of the Year in Latvia and Tax law firm of the Year in Ireland. The 2011 Finance Monthly law awards recognises all those firms that have dedicated their resources to innovation, built on their depth of expertise and performed outstandingly over the year.

Deal of the Month

This was awarded in respect of a takeover deal by Daimler and Rolls Royce. The deal was named as “Deal of the month.” The deal will be one of the biggest deals in Germany this year. The team in Germany consisted of Dr. Matthias Heisse, Dr. Oliver Maaß and Wolfgang Troidl.

Superbrands commissions independent research to identify the strongest brands. The annual survey is compiled by The Centre for Brand Analysis (TCBA), on behalf of the Superbrands organisation, and examines the views of a panel of experts and over 1,700 business professionals.

Eversheds was ranked 200.

The award is granted due to the excellence for the legal assistance in a mediation procedure. For having promoted to their respective clients the recourse to a mediation procedure in a matter which was particularly complex, involving jurisdictions in three different continents, and for having reached a favourable and lasting result.

In January 2011, the firm was awarded a platinum award at the Clean City Award ceremony. This scheme recognises best practices in waste management and waste reduction and enable firms in The City of London to share best practice (winners of the Chairman's cup 2010).

The European Travel Buyer awards are made by the travel industry to recognise and reward the work of travel managers working within firms, rather than travel companies.

The award was bestowed by a jury of the magazine WirtschaftsWoche. Heisee Kursawe Eversheds, namely Dr, Stefan Kursawe as HR partner, was awarded Top Law Firm for HR in Germany and recommended to advise senior management.

Among the 25 best law firms in the area M&A in WirtschaftsWoche

WirtschaftsWoche (WiWo, a premium German economic magazine) selected the top attorneys in Germany for mergers and acquisitions. According to the editorial staff, they are "attorneys who do not only master their area of expertise but also have skills that many lawyers are lacking: charisma and persuasiveness. Not only do they know how to develop cunning strategies for acquisitions or their defence but also the art to convincingly sell their ideas." Name partner Dr. Matthias Heisse is among the 25 most important German attorneys for deals.

Heisse Kursawe Eversheds was awarded the title "Full Service Law Firm of the Year in Germany" by the renowned business magazine Corporate INTL at the Corporate INTL Legal Awards 2010. The award was bestowed by a jury comprising partners of international law firms, multinational corporations and the editors of the Corporate INTL magazine.

The international law firm Heisse Kursawe Eversheds was ranked 45th in this year's ranking "100 top employers 2010" of the renowned career-magazine Azur. Thus, it moved up 13 ranks in comparison with last year. By ranking Eversheds Germany 45th, JUVE acknowledges the dynamic development of the law firm, which goes hand in hand with increasing personnel.

At the Midlands Turnaround Awards hosted by Endless we won Law Firm of the Year and Andrew Jordan won Lawyer of the Year.

All votes were cast by accountants, lawyers, bankers, TD's etc working in the local corporate turnaround and restructuring community with some 6000 votes cast across all categories so a true testament to the profile of the firm's strength and depth in the Midlands.

The renowned specialized publisher JUVE elected Heisse Kursawe Eversheds the “2010 Corporate Law Firm of the Year”. Furthermore, HKE was among the nominees for the IP Law Firm of the Year.
The JUVE Awards are annually in various categories and are considered to be among the most important awards in the law firm industry. Apart from those winners who are awarded the prize in a ceremony, the JUVE Handbook 2010/11 bestows the “Law Firm of the Year” Award to further law firms for their strong development.

The PRCA Awards provide a showcase for the best that the UK's PR industry has to offer. Winning or being shortlisted for a PRCA Award is a fantastic achievement; a huge boost to everyone who worked on the campaign.

This is to confirm that we are recommended in the fully revised and updated 2010/11 edition of The Legal 500 Asia Pacific.

We have won our second award for innovation at the Law Society Excellence Awards. The firm’s Legal Clubbing model picked up the Law Firm Innovation Award at the prestigious ceremony. The Excellence Awards, hosted by the Law Society, celebrate outstanding achievements in the legal profession. Eversheds’ winning Legal Clubbing model is a collaborative project which provides the resources and online structures that enables the legal functions of different clients in a similar industry, or in non-competing sectors, to pool their resources. The project was developed by our Local Government sector.

We have been named the Most Innovative Law Firm at the prestigious FT Innovative Lawyers Awards. We were ranked number one in the FT Law 50 report, the Financial Times’ ranking of Europe’s most innovative law firms. The awards highlight the changing face of the legal industry in light of the recession, with winners being commended for international, collaborative and truly innovative solutions. We also stood out in categories across the board, gaining recognition for Innovation in Client Services, Innovation in Climate Change & Sustainable Energy and Innovation in Law Firm Efficiency. We also came second in the Innovation in Law Firms Brands.

The 2010 awards were held in Berlin. Europe’s finest lawyers gathered to celebrate the most outstanding work in the industry over the previous 12 months.

Corporate Lawyer of the Year - Stephen Kitts. The awards are run by Insider Media are recognised and reward the skills of legal advisers involved in corporate deals.

Awarded Large Law Firm of the Year - Litigation Team of the Year - Employment Team of the Year - Pro Bono Team of the Year.

The firm reached 36th place in the top 60 of organisations demonstrating the highest environmental standards, with workforces wholly engaged and in tune with their green initiatives.

The Sunday Times highlighted our London headquarters roof top haven that is home to birds and bees and a market garden with herbs and vegetables grown for the staff restaurant as key green credentials for the firm.

The Dealmakers awards are run by Insider Media and recognise and reward the skills of legal advisers involved in corporate deals.
