In line with many of our competitors Eversheds intends to defer some of our 2009 intake. We propose to defer 31 places from our 73 2009 starters. We have taken this decision as a result of the current economic climate to ensure that those who start with us in 2009 and 2010, have the best training experience possible.

Linked to this we have also made the difficult decision not to accept further applications for Training Contracts. We will be assessing our position in 2010 and will reopen our on-line application system accordingly.

Despite this hard decision we want to ensure that we provide Training Contracts that give the breadth and depth of skills needed in a constantly evolving legal sector.
