THE BIG DEAL
The Big Deal is aimed at first year students from all backgrounds (our latest session involved 48 people). It’s a hugely successful annual event that has been widely praised by everyone, including the national press.
You’ll be taking part in a realistic simulation of big business by working on a deal involving several parties. The parties want to merge and, depending on who you represent, you’ll be involved in activities ranging from brokering agreements and creating marketing strategies, to hosting a press conference. The day ends in the boardroom where everything is, hopefully, thrashed out to a successful conclusion.
Along the way, you’ll learn an enormous amount about commercial reality, teamwork, the law and the art of persuasion.
