About us

What corporate responsibility means to us

"Corporate responsibility supports our vision and values. Being a great place to work is dependent on a positive, innovative culture as well as a supportive workplace. Being the most client centred international law firm includes understanding the importance clients place on shared values and, increasingly, to respond to social and environmental concerns. These are key components of a wider commercial relationship that has to be underpinned by trust."
David Gray, Chief Executive

At Eversheds, success means more than financial performance. Our social and environmental impact also matters a great deal.

We have pledged to:

  • continually develop our workplace for the benefit of all of our people
  • promote sustainable growth through responsible and innovative business practice in the marketplace
  • minimise our impact on the environment
  • positively engage in the communities in which we work and live.

To achieve this we innovate continuously - going the extra mile and building for the future.

Developing corporate responsibility excellence

To focus our work we benchmark our performance in the Business in the Community Corporate Responsibility Index (for more information visit the Business in the Community website).

We were the first law firm to publicly take part in the index.

This detailed evaluation process helps us to evaluate our management practices in four key areas. We've included some information in each area to illustrate what this means in practice.
