Formerly Corporate Counsel for eircom plc, Francis has a strong track record in both commercial and regulatory law. Francis also maintains a significant corporate law practice with a focus on the telecoms, ICT and energy sectors. In 2006 Francis was appointed to the Board of Aer Lingus, the Irish national airline, prior to its privatisation.

Francis' recent experience includes:

• Advising the shareholders of Century Homes Limited on the sale of the company to Kingspan plc for an aggregate consideration of up to €98m
• Advising BT Ireland in its acquisition of the Cara Group
• Acting for the vendors in relation to the sale of Conduit Enterprises, a leading directory enquiries and outsourced services company, to a consortium led by Investcorp and also involving InfoNXX.
