Ian is a Partner in Eversheds' Human Resources team and advises both private and public sector clients in relation to a wide range of employment law matters. He has worked in the employment law field since 1985 and is the Senior Partner for the Cambridge office.

Ian's clients include Olympus, McCarthy & Stone, Marshall of Cambridge, Sepura plc, Roche, National Policing Improvement Agency (NPIA) and a range of technology companies based in and around Cambridge.

Ian's recent experience in the employment field includes:

• advising on a major company reorganisation including the closure of one site involving over 100 staff resulting in redundancy and relocation
• advising the Council of a national professional association and charity in respect of an employment dispute with its senior management team
• advising a major employer on several rounds of redundancy across the UK and in relation to the employment aspects of a transfer of the business through Pre-Pack Administration
• advising in a dispute in relation to reasonable adjustments to be provided by training organisation in relation to dyslexia
• advising the Board of an AIM listed company in respect of a dispute following the termination of the Chief Executive's employment
• Successful mediation of disputes for major organisations relating to race discrimination and dismissal

Ian speaks regularly on employment law topics. The Chambers 2008 Guide to the Law describes Ian as "an outstanding Partner - his genuine interest and commitment is exceptional".
