The challenges for corporates

Following a period of record-breaking corporate deal activity in 2006 and 2007, the outlook for 2008 looks to be a more challenging environment for all participants in the M&A market. The sub prime credit crisis has had a significant impact on the M&A market place although the mid market appears to have faired better than most.

Increasingly, in order to remain competitive, many organisations are having to come to terms with globalisation of markets and all that this entails in relation to the internationalisation of their own business. This in turn means they need to derive greater value from their advisors with cost containment being high on most client's agendas.

How we can help

First and foremost, Eversheds can deliver top quality, clear and concise legal advice but always in a commercial context - looking for solutions not problems. We pride ourselves on our ability to translate often very complex legal issues into 'plain English' so that our clients can comprehend what the issues are all about.

Added to this is our commitment to project management which sets us apart from many other law firms - delivering consistency of approach across our international network and predictability, of both timing and of costs, delivered with total transparency so our clients are involved and informed at all stages of the transaction.

Being one of the largest M&A teams in Europe we are able to deliver to our clients a personal, partner-led service, in the locations where they do business, engaging the right people, to do the right type of work, in the right place all at a predictable cost.
