Training - public, in-house and online

Our training courses are designed to help you, your colleagues and your organisation to work more efficiently and deliver quantifiable benefits.

By keeping you appraised of the practical implications of new law and current trends, our courses reinforce good practices, protect against the cost of non-compliance, mitigate risk and preserve reputations.

Eversheds offers you a training proposition that is different from that of other training providers. Unlike training businesses, we employ our experienced trainers, each of whom is also experienced in advising employers. And unlike law firms, who say they can offer training, we are delivering public and in-house training across the UK and abroad almost every working day.

Our training services include:

Public courses

  • Seminars and half-day briefings which explore current workplace issues and hot topics through the experience of expert speakers, each with a different point of view.
  • TUPE, employment law, and health and safety updates which explain the new law you need to know about and provide an opportunity to discuss the implications for your organisation with lawyers and, crucially, with your peers.
  • Training courses on specific workplace topics are limited to no more than 15 delegates.

In-house training

Almost every day, we deliver in-house training that has been tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients. Assignments vary from a short workshop focused on a specific issue to multiple-day programmes where we train whole tiers of management about their responsibilities. Uniquely, we can deliver training from the legal perspective or the HR perspective. Sometimes clients opt for both. Our services include:

  • line manager training on aspects of employment law including equality issues and appropriate workplace behaviour
  • employment law updates for HR teams
  • updates on aspects of health, safety and environmental law
  • customised versions of public courses - in particular managing employee investigations and TUPE-related courses.

Online training

Thousands of employees are learning about their responsibilities to their work colleagues, and to their employer, using Eversheds' e-learning courses.

respect@work

respect@work teaches employees about their responsibilities to their colleagues and to their employer, and how each employee has a part in nurturing mutual respect. It is an e-learning course which employers may use to help their workforce understand the importance of their equal opportunities policy and the implications of inappropriate behaviour at work.
