Marine
The challenges faced by our clients
The new draft Marine Bill is the first step towards a coordinated system of UK marine law, with a new marine planning system and marine conservation powers. It aims to provide, for the first time, a strategic framework for policy in the marine area, with a streamlined licensing process and a more integrated approach to the land/sea interface.
An understanding of the opportunities and challenges presented by the proposals is essential for anyone with an interest in the marine environment, including port operators and users, port and harbour authorities, developers, funders, central and local government.
