Today's challenges

The acute demand for infrastructure is a striking feature that both developed and developing economies share across the globe. The imperative to replace worn out or provide new infrastructure is a key social, economic and political aim for many jurisdictions. But the environment is a challenging one. The not yet fully understood impact of the credit crunch, the increasing costs at risk of bidding major projects and the complexity of new procurement regimes such as the EU's competitive dialogue, makes infrastructure procurement demanding for governments, sponsors and funders alike.

Never before has it been so important for projects to be supremely well run and project managed. Without excellent project management, governments will not attract the quality bids they need, and sponsors and funders will be asked to jeopardise unnecessary bid costs. And so, while so much is changing in infrastructure, so much remains the same - the need to manage time and cost to get the best results.

We advise governments, sponsors and funders on projects round the world in every infrastructure sector. We specialise in innovative PPP projects and have advised on about 250 of them in Europe alone. Currently, we are working in EMEA, India, China and South East Asia on significant infrastructure projects.
