Does the firm organise any social events?
Yes - lots! Work at Eversheds can be demanding, so it's important that you enjoy yourself. To help, we have a genuinely sociable and fun culture. Events are organised by the firm, by our social clubs, and by individuals.

Is the firm involved in pro bono work?
At Eversheds we are aware of the need for legal advice among those parts of the community that cannot afford to pay for it. We recognise our responsibility to assist in the provision of legal advice to these members of the community, as well as to the charitable sector. We are uniquely placed to undertake pro bono work across England and Wales.

We are enthusiastic members of the Solicitors Pro Bono Group, and support Law Works and ProHelp projects, attending and advising both at the Mary Ward Centre and Battersea Legal Advice Centre.

For more information please visit our dedicated pro bono page

What about charitable and voluntary work in the community?
We believe it is important to encourage community involvement among our people and regularly undertake volunteer activities to provide practical assistance. Everyone has the opportunity to become involved through the Cares Programme, which is operated in the UK by Business in the Community. Cares projects support the environment, education and IT skills in the community. We also fund and distribute our charitable trust in response to requests for donations, particularly those in which our people are involved.

For more information please read our Eversheds in the community pages.

What are the people like?
Unstuffy, friendly but very focused on their work.

We have always sought to hire 'normal' people, ie people who have personality and a sense of humour to go with the required skills and commitment. Our people are nice to deal with and we think this makes them well suited to work in our environment where 'fun' is recognised as an important element.

Are there opportunities to work abroad?
Yes. Our clients are becoming increasingly international in their origin and scope. The domestic clients of each office are doing business outside their own countries more frequently and our lawyers are acting for clients in different countries across the world more frequently. We have an international network of offices and we work closely with colleagues abroad. Secondments have also been made with international clients.
