The Eversheds China Business Group consists of Chinese-speaking Western lawyers with significant experience of working in the PRC, and English-speaking Chinese lawyers with backgrounds in Western law firms. The team is headed by Andrew Halper, a fluent Chinese-speaking corporate partner who worked in Beijing for seven years and now divides his time between the UK and China. Working with Andrew is Peter Corne, Managing Director of the Shanghai office. Peter has practised in Shanghai since 1996 and is also a fluent Chinese speaker.
Andrew, Peter and their colleagues in Eversheds' London and Shanghai offices represent Western companies investing in or trading with the PRC across a wide array of sectors, including manufacturing, chemicals, oil and gas, media, education, financial services and retail franchising.
