Promotion without commotion

Advertising and sales - ensuring all your publicity is good publicity
The Advertising Standards Authority is receiving an increasing number of complaints in relation to advertising. Eighty-seven per cent of the complaints investigated in 2004 were upheld. This means an increasing number of companies are having to withdraw advertising campaigns and are suffering detrimental coverage in the press. This can affect brand value and perception because of the failure to comply with advertising regulations.

At the moment, the spotlight is on food, obesity and advertising to children, but when will the next problem area arise? You need to be sure your organisation doesn't fall foul of the regulations so you can use your advertisements to full effect.

The Eversheds solution

Advertising strategy
Eversheds provides a full range of services to ensure that your advertising and sales strategy is in line with requirements, taking into account your type of business, and the mediums on which you advertise. As codes and regulations vary for the type of media used, our services extend to providing tactical advice and clearances on individual promotions before they go to print or are broadcast.

Training
Eversheds also provides comprehensive and cost effective training at your premises to ensure that your marketing and legal staff avoid basic advertising errors and bad publicity in the future. Training is provided by experts in advertising, and is tailored and customised specifically to your needs - with real life examples, case studies, quizzes and audience participation.
