About us
Education
As an organisation dependent on a talented workforce, we recognise the vital importance of education. We have a significant number of strong relationships with state-funded schools and further education establishments, including organisations for students with special needs. We work with children and young people in a variety of ways, such as reading programmes, work experience and voluntary work. Through these relationships we are seeking to widen access to the legal profession and extend the pool of talent from which we recruit.
Eversheds Unlocked
Our major programme launched in 2008 is ‘Eversheds Unlocked'. This is our unique scheme to inspire would be solicitors to aim high. The programme is aimed at first year A level students who are interested in a career in the legal profession, attend a state school and are the first person in their family to go to university. The programme is run out of our Birmingham, Leeds, London and Manchester offices and we will shortly be extending it to Cardiff. Over 120 students have participated to date. We also have similar schemes in Paris and Shanghai. Visit the Eversheds Unlocked page to find out more.
Barnardo's
In May 2009 we selected Barnardo's as our UK charity partner. Eversheds has committed to support Barnardo's 394 community based projects across the UK. Through volunteering and fundraising initiatives we are making a considerable difference to the lives of some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable children and young people across the UK. Visit the Barnardo's page for further information.
