Where Women Want to Work
Eversheds is one of only four law firms that have been listed in The Times Top 50 Where Women Want to Work. This is the third consecutive year we have featured in the list.
At Eversheds we recognise that women need to have the opportunity to achieve their full potential. By embracing diversity it ensures that we have a range of skills and talents across the business to support clients' demands. Through our offices worldwide we have also taken our gender equalityinitiatives to an international level this year.View the Top 50 list 2009
Opportunity Now Benchmark 2009
The firm has achieved a gold award in the 2009 Opportunity Now Benchmark. Opportunity Now, part of Business in the Community, is the UK's leading benchmark for gender equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace. This is the first time Eversheds has participated in the benchmark. We were commended for our clear messaging around diversity, and in particular for our work around diversity and client relationships. Read the full feedback report here.
The Lawyer HR Awards 2009 - Most effective diversity programme
The Lawyer HR Awards are the only awards dedicated to HR and people management in the legal profession and aim to celebrate excellence in the effective deployment of HR strategy. We are delighted that we have been recognised for the effectiveness of our diversity programme. In particular, the judges noted our innovative approach to working with Tyco, which shows that we really are a truly client-led business.
Stonewall Top 100 Employers 2009
Eversheds has been listed in the Stonewall Top 100 Employers 2009, which features the best employers in Britain for lesbian, gay and bisexual people. We are one of only four law firms to be represented in the Index, a huge achievement given that we joined Stonewall just 12 months ago. View the Top 100 Employers 2009.

The Law Society's Excellence in Equality and Diversity Award
Awarded to Eversheds in October 2008. Citation:
"The winning firm nosed out so many very strong contenders because it was crystal clear from their entry the extent to which they have embraced equality and diversity, and that it is integrated to all that they do.
"They've established a multi-faith network group and an LGBT group, are engaging with disabled students to consider a career in a major law firm, and have set up a programme of E&D training for all staff - from trainees to partners. A staff member at each of their offices is dedicated to diversity work.
"The results? They overhauled their graduate recruitment process, significantly increasing the proportion of ethnic minority trainees and have one of the highest number of female partners of the top ten firms."

Asian Jewel Awards
Eversheds partners Iftkhar Ahmed and Kuljeet Hothi have both won Professional Excellence Awards at the Lloyds TSB Asian Jewel Awards in the last year. The awards celebrate the contribution made by Asian people to society and the economy, and recognise outstanding achievements in all areas of professional practice in Britain.
Women in London's Economy
Eversheds is the only law firm featured in the Greater London Authority's 'Closing the Gap' best practice guide (pdf) for 'Lifestyle', our flexible working programme.
