We are well placed with our focus on green energy projects to provide support to VCs, and dedicated clean energy and carbon funds, as our lawyers are distinguished by their understanding of the underlying technologies of the field.
We have experience and understanding of innovative contractual off-shore structures for PE/VC activity as well as the ‘sina' model, and the approvals procedures and pitfalls that go with them.
Our team's experience includes:
- advising a group of venture capitalists on the establishment of a joint venture to devise and construct a major shopping and leisure development in Shanghai,
- advising a group of founders in their investments in China in a number of renewable energy projects including biomass and wind,
- advising a VC in its structuring and establishment of a wind power project,
- advising a group of venture capitalists on the establishment of a joint venture to devise and construct a new large shopping and leisure development in Shanghai,
- acting for a UK PE house on the acquisition of multinational plastics company with operations in nine jurisdictions including China,
- acting for multinational corporate to purchase an aviation equipment manufacturer group with operations in seven jurisdictions including China, Hong Kong and Taiwan,
- acting for a large UK PE house in the acquisition of an industrial supplier worldwide in 11 jurisdictions including China,
- assisting a major European VC house in funding a management buy-out and carve out of a pigments business of a number of major chemical companies, including the acquisition by the group of the pigments assets in China worth €60m,
- advising a founder of a microchip manufacturer in the issuance of shares to a VC fund through an offshore vehicle.
