Christopher is Managing Partner of Eversheds' Middle East business. He trained with Eversheds before joining a City firm, spending time in their Hong Kong office (1990–1994) and their Dubai office (1994–1995) before returning to work for Eversheds. Formerly a regional head of department of an Eversheds core practice area, Christopher moved to Qatar in January 2004.
Traditionally his main practice areas included advising clients on contracts governing the international transportation of goods as well as on related matters such as insurance, conflicts of law, enforcement of judgments/arbitral awards, as well as on contracts relating to the international supply of goods and services.
His non contentious work included advising clients on the sale, purchase and finance of ships and the drafting/negotiation of related contracts including mortgages and other security documentation.
Christopher's traditional practice areas continue in Qatar and now range from project managing syndicated banking transactions to drafting and advising on a wide range of commercial matters including the incorporation of new companies, joint ventures, agency/distribution agreements, the acquision/leasing of commercial property and providing general business advice.
