Challenges facing the mining and natural resource energy sector
The Eversheds mining practice comprises specialist lawyers based across our international network, with core teams located in the UK, France, South Africa, Germany, Ireland and China. Our integrated teams work on major mining transactions and projects in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. They are involved in the mining sector from the exploration stage through the life of a project, including development, funding, operation and exit (by sale or IPO). With our in depth knowledge and experience of the legal and operational challenges faced by mining operators, we are able to support our clients with advice on all relevant legal aspects.
The mining and natural resources sector is recognised as one of strategic importance within Eversheds, such that we have a dedicated practice and sector group focused on meeting the needs of clients in this sector. Our sector focus allows us to identify and resolve the key issues with no learning curve to be overcome either in practice or terminology. We also work closely with nominated colleagues from other groups so that the mining businesses we act for are able to receive wider corporate, employment and other advice that is tailored to the sector's specific needs.
