Legal advice for banks

Today's legal challenges for banks

The challenges facing banks in today's market are huge. On the transactional side, over the last few years we have seen an extremely liquid debt finance market helping to facilitate deal doing. However, the credit squeeze has seen a dramatic change in the market bringing challenges for those attempting to do deals.  Confidence has dropped and this has impacted on all aspects of funding a transaction.

As well as the impact on transactions, the credit squeeze continues to impact on many aspects of banking business. This, together with changes in regulation, such as the overdraft rules and SEPA, and consumer credit and mortgage fraud, mean the pressures on banks and their resources are great.

How we can help

At Eversheds we have a very experienced and well established team focusing on the banking sector.
