Commercial

In the public sector, our commercial experience includes advising:

• on the merger of care budgets for a consortium of Mental Health Trusts, PCTs and a major metropolitan authority
• on procurement of services and suppliers and on contribution levels to care packages between Trusts
• the Department of Health on issues regarding a restructuring of contracts for the home oxygen service in 2006 and on the re-letting of the South West region contract (global value of £1bn over their lifetimes)
• DHL Exel on the outsourcing of NHS Logistics through a procured process.

In addition, we act for both the public and private sector on PFI/PPP schemes and have the experience to advise on all PFI related issues. We have also advised Turks and Caicos Islands Government in the privatisation of their new health services, including draft legislation to implement a new national health insurance scheme.
