Eversheds scoops Health Investor Award for the second year in a row

The annual HealthInvestor Awards recognise outstanding achievements in the healthcare sector.

The 2009 event was held on 3 June and Eversheds was named Law Firm of the Year for the second year running.

The Awards were attended by over 650 leaders in the healthcare profession and included representatives from most of the major private and public sector healthcare organisations, lenders, financiers, accountants and advisers.

Eversheds beat off stiff competition from shortlisted firms DR solicitors, DLA Piper, Stephenson Harwood and Capsticks to win the legal advisors category.

Hosted by Michael Portillo, the 12-strong judging panel of independent healthcare industry experts included Patricia Hewitt along with senior representatives for the Health Select Committee, Imperial College London, the Department of Health, CBI, Partnerships UK, Abbey UK and Assura.

Head of Healthcare, Bill Gilliam comments:

"This is a fantastic accolade of which the Eversheds team can be rightly proud.  The Award is another great testament to Eversheds’ expertise and experience in the healthcare sector."

Judges Comments

"Eversheds has shown through the depth of their client base and the diversity of issues they have worked on that they are a very experienced and knowledgeable practice. The firm has built up expertise not just in assisting with transactions but also providing learning and advice for health organisations."
