Environmental issues are becoming increasingly important for businesses, driven by the ever increasing body of legislation and the enhanced global profile of environmental concerns such as climate change and sustainability. Regulators are placing new and more stringent demands upon businesses to meet enhanced environmental standards. In turn, environmental liabilities and requirements are featuring more and more in everyday business transactions.
How we can help
The environment group is one of the largest in Europe. We have in depth experience of the full range of environmental matters and can provide you with specialist advice and representation on a UK, EU or international level. We also work closely with other teams such as regulatory, real estate planning, construction, shipping, clean energy and sustainability where the legal requirements often interact.
We will work with you to understand your business, as well as your environmental advice requirements, to ensure that our advice is always focused and relevant.
We will discuss processes for instruction and communication which will work for you on an international basis. This will include consideration of a project management approach such as that adopted for clients including DuPont and Tyco. This would give you one central contact point within the environment group rather than you having to liaise with law firms in over 20 jurisdictions. In any event we will ensure that delivery of our services across different jurisdictions is consistent, seamless and fully integrated.
