Antitrust and EU law
Introduction
Today's challenges
Competition and antitrust is a rapidly changing area. With an ever-increasing risk of action against companies and individuals, this subject needs closer attention than ever. As well as substantial fines and damages claims, criminal offences and directors' disqualification are now a real possibility. Our approach is to help you identify and deal with the risks.
How we can help
The Eversheds antitrust and EU group is recognised as one of Europe's leading competition/antitrust practices, with 30 lawyers located throughout the UK and Europe. Eight of our lawyers are recognised by Chambers Guide to the UK Legal Profession as leaders in the field. This puts us in the top rank of the UK's competition/antitrust lawyers, with the second largest number of named individuals. A number of our lawyers have also spent time working in DG Competition and in national competition authorities (including sector regulators).
We regularly handle the most difficult M&A cases, as well as advising on a very wide range of leading edge behavioural and investigatory work. Our approach is practical and commercial. We work alongside our clients in their day to day businesses to ensure that their commercial strategies and agreements meet the requirements of competition law and we steer them through investigations when these arise.
